Toronto police looking for witnesses after fatal drive-by shooting

Toronto police are asking for witnesses to come forward following a fatal drive-by shooting in North York, Friday.

It happened at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Sloane Avenue.

Police say a gunman in an SUV opened fire into another SUV while stopped at a red light.

The shots fired by the suspect vehicle hit a passenger, 25-year-old Adrian Thomas, a Toronto resident who is known to police.

Thomas was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Reports say there was a lot of traffic at the time of the incident.

Police are hoping someone may have information or may have captured the shooting with a cellphone or dashboard camera.
