Tomorrowland is a mystery adventure directed by Brad Bird (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, The Incredibles). The film is inspired by the section of Disneyland built in 1955. The cast features George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Kathryn Hahn, and Keegan-Michael Key.

Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them— forever.

While Tomorrowland’s story was based on the Disneyland attraction, the design of the movie’s futuristic city had to be built from scratch by production designer Scott Chambliss. “In the script itself there was no Tomorrowland written in. That meant that a huge amount of our prep time was spent working with Brad and Damon developing not simply the look of Tomorrowland but what Tomorrowland meant. Creating a unique utopian civilization is a very complicated, daunting task. But therein lay the potential pleasure of actually creating something that was special in ways that an audience might not anticipate.”
