Police have now confirmed the remains found on Six Nations territory do belong to murdered Fort Erie toddler Marissa Whalen.

The two year old was reported missing in October, shortly after police found a child’s remains in Ohsweken, near Brantford.

But it’s believed Marissa was killed in July.

Her mother, Roseanne Whalen, was charged with second degree murder in December, and Whalen’s live-in girlfriend, Rainbow Hill, is also facing a second degree murder charge in Marissa’s death.
