The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed a pair of coaches today.
Rick Worman has been hired as their Running Backs Coach while Doug Malone has been brought on as their Offensive Line Coach.
Worman most recently spent seven years with the Edmonton Eskimos in various capacities, including Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach and West Coach Scout.
Before that, he was also the Offensive Coordinator of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2001 and Head Coach of the Fresno Frenzy in 2002 in the Arena Football 2 league.
As a player, Worman enjoyed a six-year CFL career as a quarterback with the Calgary Stampeders (1986-88, 1990), Edmonton Eskimos (1988-89) and Saskatchewan Roughriders (1991).
“The addition of Rick to our staff provides us with another quality, experienced coach that has a multitude of experience in this league as both an offensive coach and player personnel assistant,” said Head Coach Marcel Bellefeuille.
Doug Malone has spent the last three years with Presbyterian College in various capacities, including Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach, Offensive Line Coach and Interim Head Coach.
He also had stints as Offensive Coordinator with Tennessee Tech, Wingate and Western Carolina in NCAA football and had head coaching experience at both Tennessee Tech and Wingate.
