Conflicting studies about ticks and Lyme disease in Hamilton make it confusing for people to know if they’re actually at risk in this area. According to public health, Lyme disease isn’t an issue in Hamilton, but one Lyme disease group says 41% of black legged ticks found in Dundas, carried the bacteria that causes Lyme disease. Lyme Ontario says dragging for ticks isn’t an effective way to catch them.
