Three people hospitalized after serious collision in Welland

Three people are in hospital after a vehicle collided with a hydro pole in Welland early Sunday morning.

At approximately 1:05 a.m., police responded to the area of Broadway and Riverside Drive for a motor vehicle collision.

On scene, officers found a grey Chevrolet Cobalt had collided with a hydro police. Two occupants of the vehicle were ejected in the collision, and another was located in the car.

As a result, investigators say a man and a woman were taken to hospital with serious injuries. A second woman was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The collision remains under investigation and no charges have been laid at this time.
