Threatened storm cancels flights
Video updated Another storm is heading to the American northeast, and that means another round of cancelled flights.
Porter Airlines has cancelled evening flights to Newark and Boston out of Billy Bishop Airport. As well, United Airlines will ground approximately 500 flights out of New York City area airports starting at noon. Passengers won’t have to pay the usual change fee if they re-book on other flights. U.S. Airways, Delta and Jetblue have also issued fee change waivers.
This storm comes just a week after more than 23,000 flights were cancelled because of super storm Sandy.
If you’re flying, it’s recommended that you check with your airline.
