Pot initiatives’ passage doesn’t turn laws in to smoke

For decades they’ve been telling citizens to just say no, to drugs.

But last night, voters in two American states said yes to legal marijuana, and a third said okay to medicinal pot.

While Massachusetts decided to give medical marijuana a try, the states of Washington and Colorado went much further. Both have passed state initiatives to legalize the sale and possession of marijuana for personal use.
