Thief uses note to rob downtown Hamilton bank

Hamilton police have released images of a man wanted in connection with a robbery at a downtown bank last month.
Shortly before 2 p.m. on Feb. 7, police were called to a bank in the area of Main St. West and Locke St. South for reports of a robbery.
Police learned a man had entered the financial institution, approached a teller and passed over a note.
“The note advised that this was a robbery and the suspect was armed,” said Hamilton police in a news release. “The suspect was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.”
Police say no weapons were seen during the robbery and no one was injured.
Investigators are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the investigation.
