Teen hit by train dies

A 15 year old boy who suffered traumatic injuries after being struck by a Via train in Paris, Ontario last month has died.

Tanner Sabila-Azzopardi died in a Hamilton hospital after undergoing surgery for head injuries.

Police say four boys were walking on the railway tracks when a westbound train approached sounding its horn.

Only three of them managed to get off in time.

In honour of Tanner, flags at the Paris high school and at the school board office will be flown at half-mast for three days.
