Tabuns: Liberals hiding power plant info
NDP energy critic Peter Tabuns says the public has the right to know the real costs and motivations behind two gas plant relocations.
“We need to have the documentation as was requested, and we need to have the testimony of those who actually made the decision about what really happened. People in Ontario deserve no less.”
Those relocations from Oakville and Mississauga sparked a Progressive Conservative contempt motion against Ontario energy minister Chris Bentley. The Tories also claim Bentley didn’t release all the documents, and reject the government’s claim that the cancelled Oakville power plant will cost only $40 million dollars, on top of the $190 million cost to stop the Mississauga project.
