Tabuns: gas plant answers were supposed to come today
NDP energy critic Peter Tabuns says this was the day we would have started to get answers about the gas plant scandal, with the special committee due to issue its findings and recommendations.
Tabuns wants MPPs back to work to get answers. “We have found since the house was shut down we’ve been stonewalled on freedom of information requests, we’ve been told by officials, Colin Anderson, head of the Ontario Power Authority that he would be happy to speak to us if there was a comitteee.”
“If we’re gong to find out what went on with the gas plant scandal, we need to have this legislature back and we need to have the finance committee reconstituted.”
Tabuns says the New Deomcrats want all of the Liberal leadership candidates to call for a return of the house and for support to have questions about the gas plant move forward.
