DC Entertainment says a memorial statue for a Toronto boy starved to death by his grandparents can have the Superman logo.

The company had initially rejected the request to have the Superman shield on the statue for five-year old Jeffrey Ba;dwin. They reversed their decision today after complaints from fans.

Jeffrey was starved to death by his grandparents, and died in november 2002. He spent years locked inside a bedroom with no access to food or a toilet. A coroner’s inquest into his death last year heard how Jeffrey wanted to be just like Superman.
