Horwath slams Liberal appointment

Premier Kathleen Wynne found herself defending her party’s proposed budget again today.

In question period, interim PC leader Jim Wilson warned the premier about Ontario’s accumulating debt.

Wynne also asked wilson to consider the impact of the cuts made by the mike harris government.

As well, NDP leader Andrea Horwath has asked about a potential conflict of interest regarding Wynne.

The Liberals have appointed TD Canada Trust CEO Ed Clark to help make decisions about their most valuable assets, the LCBO, and OLG. Horwath is worried about Clark’s involvement because his son is the CEO of Infrastructure Ontario.

Wynne says Ed Clark is the right man to help maximize the value of government assets.
