Niagara police say they’ve arrested a 40-year-old man who was the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant.

On Sunday, police received information that Christopher Arnoczki was hiding at an address in the area of Vine and Carlton streets in St. Catharines.

The warrant for Arnoczki had already been issued when he was seen “acting erratically” at a business on Welland Avenue on Sept. 6.

When police arrived at the business, they say Arnoczki sped off on a motorcycle.

Following the incident on Sept. 6, three additional offences of flight from police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and operating a vehicle while prohibited were added to his warrant.

Officers say they arrested Arnoczki on Sept. 14. They noted that during the arrest, he once again attempted to flee from police.

The 40-year-old remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing on Sept. 15 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
