Street racing suspected in death

One person is dead, after a serious crash in Scarborough early Monday; a crash that police say may have been caused by street racing.

The single-vehicle incident happened just before 6am in the Kennedy Road and Finch Avenue area.

Toronto police say a car split in two after hitting a pole, a phone booth and a fire hydrant, killing the driver in his 20s.

An investigation is underway.
