The Leander Boat Club in Hamilton was a one-stop stocking stuffer shop today.
The one of a kind market called “Stuffed!” sells items that can fit into Christmas stockings.
“It was a niche that we felt wasn’t really being filled,” said Stuffed! organizer Katie Rakoczy. “You can stuff pretty much anything if you put it into the right shape or size.”
The event was also licensed with holiday drink favourites like mulled wine for sale.
All of the vendors at the market are local. Rakoczy says that this year’s event is particularly important because of the Canada Post strike.
“A lot of our makers and local shops have been really effected by that. Seeing people coming out and supporting local is a really big deal.”
The third annual market wrapped up today. About 2,500 people were expected to attend the market through Friday and Saturday.
