Four operating rooms have now re-opened following a flood at St. Joseph’s Hospital. But things aren’t expected to be back to normal for another week.
It’s been five days since a water line break caused the biggest disruption at the Charlton Campus since a fire in the early 1980s. Thousands of litres of water were sprayed in the hospital putting patients and millions of dollars worth of medical equipment at risk. Since then, work is being done 24 hours a day to essentially rebuild 12 operating rooms and more than half of the emergency room.
