A St. Catharines woman has been arrested and charged in a stabbing in the city on Sunday.
Niagara police were called to a home in the area of Niagara St. and North St. after two women, a 36-year-old and 59-year-old, had gotten into a dispute.
Police say the younger woman hit the other woman with a stick multiple times and then stabbed her twice.
The victim was taken to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries. She is stable condition.
Sheralee Bryant of St. Catharines has been charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.
