Niagara police charged a St. Catharines man Thursday in connection to an investigation into the sexual exploitation of children on the internet, which began in March.
Officers say they executed a search warrant at an apartment in St. Catharines on April 21, where they seized numerous digital devices capable of storing electronic data.
Following an examination into the evidence, detectives arrested 48-year-old Zachary D. Harris Thursday and charged him with two counts of possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and one charge of accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
Harris remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing at a St. Catharines courthouse Friday.
