Investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office have been called to determine the circumstances that caused two adults and two children to be taken to hospital after a fire caused extensive damage to their home on Densgrove Drive.
Fire crews arrived shortly after midnight Wednesday morning and extinguished the fire that they believe started in the basement and spread to the rest of the house.
It’s expected all four patients will recover from smoke inhalation.
Fire fighters found that the residence had no operational smoke detectors.
