A two vehicle crash in St. Catharines Wednesday morning resulted in one vehicle crashing into a telephone pole, and another into a nearby home.

Niagara regional police attended the area of Beech and Henry Streets at around 7 a.m. following reports of a vehicle collision.

Investigators determined that a 17-year-old boy was driving a Silver Kia Rio eastbound on Beech Street and a 37-year-old woman was driving a gray Hyundai Tuscon southbound on Henry Street when the two vehicles crashed at the intersection.

Police say the Hyundai spun after getting hit and hit a telephone pole.

They then say the Kia collided into a home on Beech Street as a result of the impact.

Emergency crews say everyone involved suffered minor physical injuries.

Both vehicles had significant damage, and the estimated damage to the house is around $10,000.

The teenage driver was charged with careless driving.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
