Soccer scandal

A wide-ranging investigation has uncovered hundreds of suspicious soccer games and found evidence that a Singapore-based crime gang is closely involved in match-fixing.

The list includes World Cup and European Championship qualifiers and two Champions League games. The director of security at world soccer’s ruling body, FIFA, says the report highlights the need for soccer authorities and police to tackle corruption together.
