The most significant snowfall of the season in our region is mostly finished and depending on where you live you could be digging out from as much as 10cm of snow tonight. After a long weekend of extreme cold weather alerts many people went back to work today battling snow and slick roads this morning and the Niagara region was the hardest hit.

School buses were cancelled and there were dozens of collisions across the Niagara region. Many spent the day clearing driveways and sidewalks with snow blowers and shovels. Niagara Regional police say since midnight there’s been at least 40 crashes.

This is the largest dumping of snow Niagara has seen so far this year with about 10-15 cm of snow falling depending where you live.
