As the summer approaches, you may be getting outside more and CHCH is already thinking about what you can get cozy and watch on TV this coming fall.
Here is a sneak peak of our fall 2026 lineup.
Advertisers gathered at Chefs Hall in downtown Toronto Thursday as CHCH News and other independent stations from across Canada took part in indieNET’s 2026 Upfronts.
“That includes CHCH, of course, and three other broadcasters from across the country: CHEK in British Columbia, YES TV in Alberta and Ontario, and NTV in Newfoundland,” said Nick Bannard, the marketing manager at Channel Zero.”All of us are independent or independently owned, and each has a history in its own market.”
People got a sneak peak of some of this year’s fall programming, including the brand new CHCH original series Comedy in 5 hosted by Crystal Ferrier, who also hosted the event.

“Comedy in 5 is an amazing show, because it has comics from all walks of life,” said Crystal Ferrier, the host of Comedy in 5. “You have different ages, different cultures, different backgrounds, different experiences, time in comedy as well and they’re delivering their hot fives.”
Ferrier says working on a show under an independently owned station feeds her creativity.
“As an independent artist myself, I really feel like this is a family, right, it’s a home of people that have the same goals and we are coming together, and we can do it big as well,” said Ferrier. “We can do it big and be independent.”
Some of the programming highlights include returning favourites: 20/20, America’s Funniest Home Videos joining new shows to the channel like The Good Doctor.
Of course, the channel will continue to feature the CHCH Evening News at 6 p.m. and at 11 p.m., Trending Now and Morning Live.
