A search warrant of an Ohsweken residence last Thursday saw Six Nations officers face-to-face with a loaded rifle.

Officers were able to place two men inside the Townline Road home under arrest without incident.

Police confiscated a .22 calibre rifle with ammunition, a set of brass knuckles, cell phones, drug packaging items and scales, bulk currency and a stolen Chevrolet Tahoe.

Dakota Davey, 41, of Ohsweken and John Holland, 49, of New Credit were charged with possession of cocaine and illegal oxycodone and hydromorphone for trafficking and various counts of firearm possession.

Davey was also charged with breach of probation and pointing the firearm.

The search was part of an ongoing drug and firearm investigation by members of the Six Nations drug enforcement unit.
