SIU investigating after police pursuit in Burlington

The Provincial Special Investigations Unit has taken over the investigation involving a police pursuit in Burlington last night that resulted with a motorcycle being struck by the pursued vehicle.

OPP were following a vehicle on Plains Road West after eleven o’clock last night. During the chase the runaway vehicle hit a motorcycle near the intersection of Plains Road and Hillsdale Avenue.

The motorcycle driver was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The car police were chasing managed to get away. The SIU takes over any investigation when a person is killed or injured while police are involved.
