Residents in Hamilton and the surrounding region are advised of significant snowfall coming to the area tomorrow morning into Thursday with total accumulations of 10 to 15 centimetres.

Environment Canada estimated issued a weather advisory yesterday that is carrying over into today.

The rapid accumulation and heavy snow can cause reduced visibility and make driving conditions difficult at times.

Meteorologists are calling the strong, low pressure system a Texas low and say there are higher local snow amounts of up to 20 centimetres expected.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for most areas between Windsor and Ottawa including Toronto, Markham, Hamilton, London, and Peterborough.
