Senators suspended

They’re suspended without pay but Senators Pamela Wallin, Patrick Brazeau and Mike Duffy will continue to accrue eligibility for a generous parliamentary pension.  The Senate confirms the two years that the trio are expected to spend in political purgatory will count toward the six years of service they need to become eligible to collect a pension.  Treasury Board President Tony Clement says, if necessary, he’ll change the regulations to ensure Wallin, Duffy and Brazeau don’t qualify.
