Sections of Haldimand Rd. 12 closed following fatal pedestrian collision
Ontario provincial police have declared the pedestrian involved in a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Haldimand Monday morning is dead.
OPP posted on X Monday morning they are attending the scene of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Rainham Rd, near Selkirk.
The post reads that the road closed at Haldimand Rd. 12 and Isabella Street will be closed for the next few hours.
Police posted later around 11 a.m. that the pedestrian was pronounced dead, and that officers were assisting at the scene.
Police are asking vehicles to obey local signage for everyone’s safety.
