School support workers protest

About 150 school support workers rallied this afternoon outside the District School Board of Niagara headquarters in St Catharines.

The workers are accusing the board of treating them unfairly. They say the sick leave penalties for support staff are harsher those for teachers and principals.

Support workers say they currently receive eleven full paid sick days, but say any sick day taken after that they get a third of their pay while teachers receive 90 per cent.
