A school bus that was transporting 40 students near Woodstock was involved in a rollover crash early Tuesday.

Five students were transported to hospital, including one who was transported by air ambulance.

All five students that were transported to hospital were later reported to be in good health, according to OPP Const. Randi Crawford in an update Tuesday afternoon.

“All their injuries were minor in nature,” she said. “All the students are okay. There were 40 students involved on the bus, five were injured, all minor in nature.”

Emergency crews were first called out to a single-vehicle collision involving a school bus near Dodge Line and Cuthbert Road in Oxford County around 8 a.m.

Const. Ed Sanchuk said in a video posted to social media that the student who was airlifted was at one point pinned underneath the bus.

“All of the students parents have been notified. If you are thinking your child was on that bus, and you haven’t been notified, it’s not your child,” Sanchuk said.

The driver of the bus has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm and is set to appear in court in April.

Authorities remain on scene and are asking the public to avoid the area.
