Scarborough stabbings

Toronto police have arrested one person after a stabbing in Scarborough.

Police found a man with several stab wounds near 390 Dawes Road just before midnight.

The attack is believed to have happened after 9pm Sunday night.

The 39-year-old victim suffered five stab wounds in the back and once in the neck.

He is recovering in hospital and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

25-year-old Glenford Johnson was arrested and charged with:

one count of attempt murder
two counts of Assault with a weapon
and one count of aggravated assault
