If you were in the Westdale area of Hamilton today you may have seen some festive looking runners.

The Santa Shuffle Fun Run & Elf Walk raises money for the Salvation Army. Participants were encouraged to dress up in Santa suits, hats, elf costumes, or any other holiday gear. All of the funds will go to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign and other support programs.

Around $9,000 was raised at the event.

This is the 7th year the race has been in Hamilton. The run was also held in other major cities across Canada.
