Robbery at Hamilton convenience store

Hamilton Police are looking for a man they say tried to rob a convenience store in downtown Hamilton yesterday.

Police say the man went into the store at Main Street East and St. Clair Avenue yesterday afternoon and told the female clerk to give him money while brandishing a knife. The clerk pressed the store’s alarm system and the man left the store empty-handed.

He’s described as:

• white
• in his 30’s
• medium height with a thin build
• shaved head
• was wearing a blue jacket
