A small stretch of road in Stoney Creek has been closed since Sunday night for debris clean-up.

Dewitt Road is closed from Dundee Drive to Ridge Road in the vicinity of Fruitland Road where crews are working to clear away rocks and trees that are blocking the roadway.

The closure was implemented shortly after 8 p.m., according to a post from Hamilton police.

Hamilton councillor Jeff Beattie posted on Instagram Sunday night about the closure.

No timeline has been given as to when the road will reopen.
