Rick Rypien dead

N-H-L player’s passing ruled ”sudden, but not suspicious.”
The 27-year-old Rypien was found dead in his Alberta home yesterday, nine months after he left the the N-H-L to deal with an undisclosed personal matter.
He had signed a one-year deal with Winnipeg last month after spending parts of six seasons with Vancouver.
Rypien took a leave of absence from the Canucks on November 25th — the second time in three years he left the team to deal with a personal matter.
He was the cousin of former N-F-L quarterback Mark Rypien and had nine goals, seven assists, 226 penalty minutes in 119 career N-H-L games.
