Water users in parts of Brant County, Haldimand County, Six Nations, and Norfolk County in the McKenzie Creek sub-watershed are being asked to reduce their water consumption by 20 per cent due to continued dry conditions.
The call for reduced water use comes from the Grand River Low Water Reponse Team. They say the lack of rain has caused water levels in stream flows to drop significantly.
The McKenzie Creek sub-watershed has been moved to a “Level 2” designation, meaning the water levels have dropped to half their normal volume.
