A recall has been issued for Shirreza-brand Tahini Halva with Date Sap due to possible salmonella contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the products were distributed in British Columbia and Ontario.

Photos shared by the agency show that the product has an orange-and-white label.

The agency says food contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell spoiled, but it can cause illness.

The recalled product should be thrown out.
