Death toll rises in Quebec train derailment

The death toll in the Lac-Megantic, Quebec train derailment has now risen to 15 according to Quebec officials. The search continues for 35 missing people.

The investigation into the weekend train derailment in Quebec is a complex one, according to the investigator in charge with the transportation safety board.

The Transportation Safety Board says that the parked train started to roll and was travelling well in excess of the authorized speed when it left the tracks. Hundreds of Lac-Megantic residents were finally allowed to return home today. The first bodies discovered are being examined in Montreal to determine their identity.
