The Mounties used a so-called “Mr. Big” undercover operation in the arrest of one of the two people accused in a BC terror plot.

A “Mr. Big Operation” is when an undercover officer poses as a criminal accomplice to gain the trust of the suspect, and then gets the suspect to confess to an earlier crime once trust is established.

Suspects John Nuttal and girlfriend Amanda Korody, a former St. Catharines resident, made a brief court appearance today. The lawyer will ask for a delay when the two return to court tomorrow.

They were arrested last week and accused of plotting to bomb the BC legislature with homemade devices on Canada Day.
