QEW shut down in Niagara Falls

Two women were taken to hospital after a crash on the QEW in Niagara Falls Thursday morning.

A car and a large van carrying newspapers collided at Lyons Creek Road. An air ambulance was called but was then cancelled. Their injuries are believed to be minor.

One of the southbound lanes of the QEW will be shut down for several hours. Drivers are asked to be wary of newspapers blowing around in the area which may cause a visual distraction.
