Angry Canada Post and Air Canada strikers demonstrated outside federal labour minister Lisa Raitt’s constituency office Wednesday afternoon.

CHCH’s Cristina Tenaglia reported that of the 200 protestors outside Raitt’s Milton office, the majority of them were her own constituents.
They were protesting proposals by the Harper government to impose back-to-work legislation in both labour disputes.
While Canada Post is a crown corporation, Air Canada was privatized several years ago, and is not formally considered an essential service.
The minister was in Ottawa during the demonstration – as was opposition leader Jack Layton, who had harsh words of his own about the tactic. Nick Dixon has more on Layton, and Amanda Blitz has an update from Milton:
