Private funeral scheduled for homicide victim in Waterford

A private funeral is scheduled for a 90-year-old Waterford woman who was a victim of homicide.

A public visitation will be held in Brantford Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. for Marlene Wilson.

Marlene is survived by her many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Ontario Provincial Police responded shortly after 8 a.m. on Feb. 12 to a home on Mechanic St., where they found the victim’s body.

A post-mortem examination took place on Feb. 14, which determined that the death was a homicide.

The woman’s grandson, 34-year-old Jordaine Anthony Lewis Wilson of Norfolk County, has been charged with first-degree murder.
