A man mistakenly released from custody on Thursday has been arrested and is back in custody.
Daniel Lee McCue was found and arrested in Ancaster at about 1:30 p.m. Friday. He was in a vehicle and police conducted a traffic stop and high-risk takedown to bring him back into custody.
The 31-year old McCue, has a lengthy criminal record for weapons and drug offences. He was in court Wednesday on charges stemming from a home invasion in March.
Police say another man was supposed to be released from custody that day, but police let McCue go by mistake. He is facing a number of charges, including impersonation.
Brantford Police say they are conducting an internal review to see how this happened.
