Hecklers took their best shot at Justin Trudeau in a town hall event at McMaster University Wednesday. The Prime Minister was answering questions in the latest stop of his town hall tour.

About 2000 people who had registered in advance were in the auditorium and at first the general consensus was that the Prime Minister was getting off easy with the questions from the crowd, but that changed. After more than an hour of friendliness, one woman started yelling about the settlement paid to Omar Khadr. The Prime Minister said he shared the woman’s anger frustration.

“When a Canadian government willfully turns its back on defending Canadians rights and allows a Canadian to be tortured, we all end up paying.”

This was Trudeau’s second town hall this month, he’s expected to hold one in London on Thursday.
