Premier Ford to announce new cabinet by end of month: source

The Ontario Progressive Conservative Party will have a new cabinet in place by the end of the month, according to a senior provincial government source.

The official said formal discussions about cabinet choices have not yet taken place after the P-C’s won a larger majority with 83 seats on June 2.

However, the source said policy work to establish the marching orders for cabinet members is now mainly complete.

Premier Doug Ford just has to sign off before selecting ministers to go with those files.

The source said an announcement is expected in the next two weeks.
