Post St. Patrick’s Day Cleanup

From St. Catharines to Hamilton and Waterloo, university students were out in the thousands partying on St. Patrick’s Day, but now a day later students are assessing the damage and the clean up has been extensive.
About 2000 partiers clad in green were seen filling up Jacobson Avenue in St. Catharines.
Officials from Brock University say that, even though the festivities were tamer than last year, this kind of behaviour is not acceptable.
The street was trashed last night, but today Jacobson Ave was spotless.
Parties at McMaster and Brock were nothing compared to Laurier students in Waterloo.
Ezra Avenue was jam packed with over 15,000 students. Police say many from out of town. Videos posted online show partiers drinking from funnels.
Waterloo Regional Police say serious crimes were committed. People were arrested for public intoxication, sexual assault and impaired driving.
Hamilton Police say no one was arrested or ticketed at St. Patricks Day parties yesterday, and Brock University credits extra police presence and information sent to students as the reasons the party was more controlled this year.
