Police want to hear from victims
Toronto Police say a man charged in Thursday’s child porn sweep abused numerous young girls, and police are asking the public for help.
The accused is Shiraz Nariman, 42, of Toronto. He faces five charges, including luring a child under 16 years of age; invitation to sexual touching; and making, accessing and possessing child pornography.
Police allege that Nariman was in contact with young girls all across Canada, using the social networking sites nexopia.com, Facebook, and MSN Messenger, and that the photo he used was that of a young man when he contacted these girls.
Investigators say the young man in the photos may be from the Toronto area and that ‘he’ has done nothing wrong and is also a victim because his photo has been used.
Police say that Nariman counseled young girls to perform sexual acts online, and they believe he met up with some of the girls. Investigators are hoping some of these young victims will come forward.
