Niagara police have confirmed the vehicle involved in Saturday’s hit-and-run in St. Catharines is a white Mercedes SUV and are hoping the public can help identify the vehicle and its owner.
Officers say the SUV was last seen travelling north on Bunting Road at around 8:25 p.m. on Saturday around the time a cyclist was hit in the area of Dunkirk and Service roads.
Investigators say the cyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives are hoping someone from the public will recognize the vehicle and be able to identify the registered owner. Residents are asked to check surveillance footage from the time of the incident and notify police if they captured the vehicle.
